Me
Hello, my name is Gerry and I'm a geek!
Basically, take a bit of hacker...well alot of hacker...mix it with my day job being a student and systems engineering and at my college. Throw it in a blender mixed with some a.d.d. at times...then you come out with me.
I'm 23 and currently working on a masters degree in Computer Security and Information Assurance from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). I have a BS in Network and Systems Administration that came from good old RIT as well.
Outside of class and work, I am a member of SPARSA (Security Practices and Research Student Association) and am working on starting a new security organization outside of RIT that is devoted to the computer security field. I have an affinity to penetration testing and physical security practices. Check out SPARSA over at www.sparsa.org
I have ran, competed, and won various security competitions which include the Information Security Talent Search (ISTS) http://ists.sparsa.org, Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC), and Hack-or-Halo at Shmoo.
